Madison Hose responds to house fire in North Madison

At 2:29 on Wednesday afternoon, Madison Hose Company # 1 was dispatched with North Madison for a possible structure fire on Winding Road. The initial dispatch reported multiple calls to 911 reporting heavy smoke from the roof of the house and the front door. Madison Hose Company # 1 Mourns the Loss of John Bodner

Madison Hose Company # 1 is mourning the loss of long time member, John Bodner. John joined Madison Hose Company # 1 on December 10th 1959. A mechanic by trade, he quickly became an asset to the company because of his knowledge of how the trucks and their pumps worked.

Motor Vehicle Fire with Exposure

At approximately 7:27 AM this morning, units from Madison Hose Company # 1, were dispatched to 21 Boston Post Road for a possible motor vehicle fire. MHC Car 202 was first on scene and confirmed a working car fire next to the structure with exposure issues. Last night at approximately 6:05pm Madison Hose Company # 1 was dispatched for a possible structure fire at 817 Boston Post Road. The initial alarm included an engine and tanker from North Madison, Guilford for RIT, an engine from Clinton, and Madison EMS. Madison Hose Assists Injured Hiker

At approximately 10:08am yesterday morning, Madison Hose was dispatched to assist Madison EMS with a downed hiker along Indigo Woods Trail near the Neck River. The fire department’s all-terrain vehicle (ATV) was used to access the patient, who had a knee injury and was not able to ambulate. Members of Madison Hose Company # 1 spent much of yesterday responding to emergencies throughout the duration of the storm.
