On Saturday at 4:16pm in the afternoon Madison Hose received a dispatch for a structure fire at 542 Boston Post Road on the town green. Dispatch had multiple calls with smoke pouring out of the roof line. While the volunteers were responding to firehouse and structure fire, at 4:20 Madison Hose received another dispatch for a Vehicle Fire behind Grand Apizza with fire and smoke coming from Grand Apizza pizza truck. With multiple incidents the towns mutual aid procedures were followed by dispatch and started fire apparatus from Guilford, Clinton, and Killingworth. The chief made a decision to have all Madison Hose units along with Guilford Fire and Killingworth to respond to the house fire. North Madison Fire already dispatched and on their way to the house fire, Chief Kyttle diverted NoMads along with Clinton to the vehicle fire behind town. No injuries were reported from either incident, 2 occupants were displaced from the fire at 542 Boston post rd, and the towns fire marshals office is investigating both incidents There were 20 Madison Hose volunteers working on scene for approximately 4 hrs.
